Positive: The location was very peaceful, very tidy and clean! It was a very fun stay as there were elements that recalled the miners theme all throughout the accommodation and surroundings, you can tell a lot of though and care has been put in this place by the host.
Negative: It isn’t so much a complaint, but something that we didn’t quite understand from the description when booking, but to use the hot tub you have to actually build your own fire, then wait several hours for it to heat properly up. Whilst this could actually be fun and definitely does fit with the whole miners theme, we were staying only for one night and were looking for a peaceful retreat in nature where we could just chill in a hot tub for the evening. It was indeed a peaceful stay in nature but unfortunately we didn’t have enough time for the hot tub to properly heat up (there is a rule from the accommodation that you can’t use it after a certain time and the hot tub takes about two hours to heat up) so by the time we arrived at the lodge, understood how to set it up, started a fire after several attempts (never done it before!), unfortunately we had to then put the fire out so ended up not using the hot tub at all. Again not a negative thing if this is what one is looking for, but this it should have been specified a bit more clearly in the stays description that this is what you have to do to use the hot tub before one books.
Summary: Pleasant and peaceful nature retreat, but wasn’t expecting to have to heat the hot tub with a self made fire
