The location is perfect. Not too far off the road, but far enough to minimize road noise and high enough in the hills to offer an excellent view of the national wetlands, Corcovado National Park peninsula, ocean, and Cano island in the distance. The 3 bedrooms are separated for privacy and have their own bathrooms. There's plenty of living room space and a well laid out kitchen if you prefer to cook. We spent most of our time on the covered porch or in the pool. That's where the view is. If you don't mind waking for sunrise, it's best to view the landscape within the pool. All the birds are at their busiest and most visible. On our first day, we saw 3 groups of 2 scarlet macaws that flew over the house and squawked in a nearby tree. Then multiple toucans and flocks of green parrots, all up close. The house is within an easy drive to great restaurants in Uvita and Dominical, 10 minutes from the golf course, and within minutes of several secluded or populated beaches. We saw a sunset at low tide on the Whale's Tale that lasted 45 minutes. That's something I'll never forget. I recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle for travelling in the hills. Most roads are dirt and rock, and some get rutted with rain and use, but it's the easiest way to drive above sea level for those amazing views and to access excellent bars and restaurants. The pace of life is slower, people are extremely friendly and helpful, and most people will speak English and are patient when you try your rusty Spanish. I'll return one day to try new restaurants and see places I didn't have time to see.

This place is absolutely perfect. The stay is one of the best ive ever been to. Very spacious. Super clean. They have everything you need to feel right at home. The view is so beautiful I couldn’t believe that had the pleasure of waking up to that over my stay. We were not far from the nearest town. The host provided details about everything that we could have possibly thought about. Beaches nearby, Zip lining tour just 5 minutes away. This is the place to be if you are going to Costa Rica and not staying in San Jose. I loved it. My girlfriend is super picky and she enjoyed it even more than I did.

This place is stunning, I would say better than the photos. We adored it, it was extremely peaceful and the birds were lovely to watch and listen to in the mornings. The view is outstanding and I felt utter happiness being there. The local town of Ojochal is our favourite place! Eat at citrus at least once! For anyone arriving, yes you do need a 4x4. The drive up to the villa is steep and not that fun in the dark when you first arrive but you soon get very used to it. All of the rooms are great sizes and loads of storage in the main bathroom. The villa is so well laid out, the pool is fantastic and was never cold! Beautiful sunsets, just heavenly. New aircon in bedroom Worked well. The washer and drier are great and a godsend! Honestly to anyone thinking of coming, come!!! We loved it so much we would return in a flash, this on the whole was fabulous. We stayed for 3 weeks and still have more to see! Pura Vida it is! Thank you for a beautiful stay.
