The closest swimming spot from the house is Puksäter, child friendly with sandy beach and jetties, only about 7 minutes away by car. Gunnebo is only 13 km from the summer town of Västervik, which offers a good selection of stores, restaurants, a bathhouse and the Lysningsbadet adventure pool.
For anglers, there are well-known running waters in Verkebäck within walking distance. You can also take the narrow-gauge train to Västervik and make some tours by steam train.
