Positive: The house was cozy and serviceable, with a pleasant kitchen and good water pressure in the bathroom. The three bedrooms were small but perfect for a base of operations. We didn't use any of the tech (speakers and projector) but they're there if you're so inclined. The dogs, Duke and Sally, were friendly and welcoming. We stopped and gave them a scratch whenever we saw them. The horses got plenty of (approved) treats. Tyler, who works on and manages the farm, showed us the baby goats when we ran into him by happenstance, and that was delightful. Everyone waved when they drove by; I've missed the solid midwest/southern friendliness, so that was nice. There's an IGA grocery store two miles away, good mexican and barbecue in town ten minutes away, and Mammoth Cave is a half hour. We liked staying further away from the Park to avoid the crowds. Crystal, the host, was very responsive and helpful when I gave her a call before the trip (mostly to verify this was a real listing! This will probably be the first review on this place on this site, and of course, a no-review listing is a little sketchy. No fear; it's very real!) and we appreciated her hospitality very much.
