Positive: The chambre et table d'hôtes La Grande Ourse was a wonderful place to stay. Philippe and Marie have a lovely, characterful home and are warm and welcoming - it felt like staying with friends. We had many interesting discussions during our stay, and received lots of advice from Philippe who loaned us maps and recommended a superb walk for us. The highlight of the stay was the dinner! Based on the reviews on booking.com, we requested the table d'hote on both evenings and had two really outstanding dinners. Both Marie and Philippe are superb cooks, sourcing ingredients from their kitchen garden at the front of the house and locally. The Yorkshireman with a large appetite was most impressed! We must also mention having breakfast around the kitchen table with family and other guests as being very special. Thank you Philippe and Marie for the most wonderful stay with you, and for your kindness, warmth and generosity! We hope to return.
