Summary: Olimpia was an amazing host and was very patient when answering all of our questions on arrival. She also forwarded a brochure in advance which included detailed instructions on how to reach the apartment and lots of other useful information. There was also a nice welcome selection of snacks, milk, Limoncello etc. awaiting us on arrival, as well as a bowl of oranges and lemons freshly picked from Olimpia’s garden. The apartment is absolutely amazing, particularly the outside space with with a large terrace on the same level plus two balconies. We also had private use of the massive roof terrace with views towards the sea and Vesuvius. Being on the top (5th) floor, the small lift was much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable and, although we did not need it during our stay, the apartment is air-conditioned. Conveniently located just around the corner from the train station from where it is easy to catch a bus down to the port for the ferries to the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Naples etc. Alternatively, the port can be reached in about 15-20 minutes walk (we recommend taking the lift up and down from the Villa Comunale gardens. We also took the train to Pompeii during our stay. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Olly House and we would definitely recommend it for the great location, the huge outside areas and, of course, the lovely Olimpia.
