Before meandering down to the beach, indulge in a few leisurely laps in your glittering infinity pool, working up an appetite before tucking into a hearty traditional al fresco Bajan breakfast. All of this is possible in the gorgeous Crystal Springs home, nestled in over an acre of tropical gardens in St James, Barbados.
Redesigned by the renowned Oliver Messel in the 1960s, this grand home has been beautifully maintained to ensure that none of the original grandeur of the property has been lost. Guests of Crystal Springs are attended to by a full team of staff, including a night watchman, laundress, butler, cook, and boatman. Every need is taken care of, allowing you to completely relax and unwind.
Accommodating up to 20 guests, Crystal Springs is perfect for family gatherings and special occasions on the island. In the main house, you will find three spacious rooms; the master bedroom with a four-poster king-size bed, and two twin rooms that can be easily converted into a king. All rooms in the main house benefit from private ensuite bathrooms.
There is an additional annexe with two twin bedrooms, which can also be converted into kings and contain their own private ensuites. A separate pavilion accommodates a further four guests, again with ensuites. Finally, The Tea House is a private cottage on the grounds, featuring a large bedroom with a four-poster bed and two Murphy beds - ideal for young families.
Guests will also enjoy the use of an 18 ft speed boat equipped for waterskiing, as well as a separate home theatre and a mini-gym. For an additional fee, a 30ft Boston Whaler is available for cruising and deep-sea fishing.
Please note that a nanny is required to accept children at Crystal Springs.
