Summary: We were 4 retirees age 68-80 who spent one month in Pascale’s roomy apt. We LOVED the location and already miss the sound of cooing doves, singing birds and chiming church bells. You are just steps away from the heart of historic Dinan, and yet tucked in a quiet side street with very little traffic, so we got good sleep. Beds are comfy, and the windows open and close easily for fresh air. The floors have great character with old wood boards that have sagged with age. The kitchen may look a bit unfinished in the photos, but it is easy to use and pretty well equipped. Lots of pots and frying pans, big sink, plenty of plates and glasses, and new refrigerator and dishwasher. Gas stove worked really well. The washing machine converts to a dryer at the end of the cycle. I’ve never seen that before. Be sure you ask how to turn the hot water on and off if you’re not familiar with convection water heaters. If you ever wake up to no electricity, as we did one morning, the fuse box is high up by the ceiling opposite the front door. It was never a problem for us again. We loved staying in this apt for a month because of the high ceilings, roomy feeling, creaking floors, comfy beds, and great location. We parked for free at the foot of the castle, a 7-min walk from the apt. You can also park around the corner in a covered facility you pay for. June was the perfect month to be in Dinan because of the weather & lack of tourists. This apt has no A/C and 2 flights of stairs to front door.
