Located on one of the most famous wine-producing areas of Lucca, this 18th Century villa is set in 5.5 hectares of olive groves and vineyards.
Views stretch from the marbled Apuane Alps to the medieval city of Lucca, with Florence and coast nearby.
This classical Lucchese villa boasts many original 18th Century features, such as frescoes in one of the bedrooms, an original olive-press in the wine cellar, and two beautiful exterior stone staircases, enveloped in Jasmine, that lead up to the large living-room.
All the spacious rooms are full of character and are furnished with genuine art-deco pieces which complement the original 1930s tiled floors, with their decorative patterns varying throughout the vast property.
Outside, in the well-tended grounds, there is a covered area for alfresco dining beside the herb garden. This includes a stone-built barbecue with a granite cooking slab as well as a conventional grill. The large swimming-pool (with child-friendly steps) is set in the lower grounds beside the olive groves and is beautifully enclosed by bay-bushes. The pool area has sun-loungers, an out-door shower, an old-fashioned beach cabin as a changing area. There is also a covered seating area. Above the pool area is a boules (or bocce) pitch, perfect for sunset games.
