Summary: Beautifully modern apartment (suite style dorm really) converted older building in the old section of St. Gallen. VERY STEEP hill to climb to reach building, and note that cars are not allowed in this area, so you need to lug your luggage up and down. I would have appreciated directions to the parking garage instead of the address of the building because my GPS tried to tell me I could drive my car up this hill (There's no way, and then you need to enter a restricted zone to turn around, so I am awaiting a ticket by mail) Outside of that, this is a fully self service building, no reception, no check in, etc. You are given a code to open a lockbox that has your key. Rooms were beautiful and clean and spacious, with a shared living area, kitchen and bathroom for the 4 separate bedrooms on the floor. It worked well for us, we were traveling with another couple and no one else was occupying the other two rooms.
