Positive: Very cozy appartment, everything we needed was available and it was well maintained. Nicely decorated with lots of interesting trinkets around the appartment. The location was also right behind the Holyrood Palace and across Arthur's seat, so easy access to both the Royal Mile and the Holyrood Park. If you're able-bodied its easy to reach everything in the city centre by foot. The hills and old stairs can be quite steep in Edinburg. The nearest bus stop was about a 10 minute walk away.
Negative: The appartment is quite noisy, you can hear a lot going in in the other houses and the stairwell, but that's part of staying in an older house. The stairwell was badly lit, so it was a bit difficult getting upstairs in the evening.
Summary: Very pleasant stay, we would definitely recommend it and would love to visit again!
