Please note that we do not take bachelor parties, all-guy groups, spring break party groups, or any party groups,, as we strive to be a peaceful and relaxing getaway for families, couples, and girls weekends. We do not take children under the age of 5, and those under the age of 25 years of age must be accompanied by a PARENT. Let's discuss if this is an issue for your group. All children are included in the total guest count. If we have approved a child or baby under the age of 5, you can rent baby gear to make your travel easier at BabyQuip - https://www.babyquip.com?a=4285eb8. They handle sanitization, drop off, and pick up of things like cribs, strollers, high chairs toys, and more to make your trip even easier.

The Palms on Lake Travis is a privately-owned, gated, high-end, resort vacation rental for those who wish to stay on Lake Travis. The Palms is conveniently located lakeside, 1 mile from the Oasis ('The Sunset Capital of Texas') on the scenic Comanche Trail drive around the main basin of Lake Travis. This location is prime for those who want to enjoy Austin - it is only a 30 minute drive to downtown Austin and about a 35 minute drive to the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport!
The Palms property is owner-occupied, however the owners do not share living space or access with guests in any way. If the owners are in town, they may greet you upon arrival, and you may see them in the driveway or walking to/from the dock. They make an extra effort to walk around the patio area so as not to disturb your privacy.
There are two guest units on The Palms property that sleep up to 10 in total (one unit sleeps 6 with two king beds and a queen sofa bed, and the other unit sleeps 4 with one king bed and a queen sofa bed).
The quote provided is for both units, and up to 10 guests, unless otherwise specified.
For parties of 6 or less, we can sometimes offer the Garden House only at a lower cost, but this is not guaranteed, and often not done during peak summer months.
A cove and covered dock is available to use for swimming, fishing, and sunbathing. Boaters may tie up to the dock with advanced notice. A public boat launch is located just across the main basin from us (you can see it from the property) at Mansfield Dam - it's about a 3 mile boat ride. The dock is shared with neighbors, so you may see others at the dock during your stay.
WEDDINGS AND EVENTS: Please note that, due to our setup, we are unable to participate in weddings or other events with more than 30 total guests. We also have chosen not to participate in bachelor parties of any sort. We welcome out of town guests and family members of the bridal party to stay with us, and we will make every effort to ensure they have an extremely enjoyable stay in Austin! If you have a wedding or event, it must be pre-arranged with 3 night weekend stay, a contract, and an event fee. Please contact Rodney & Robin if interested.
Our preferred method of contact is the Request Form on VRBO or direct email. We have day jobs and receive too many calls to return in a timely manner. We have found that we can respond to you much more quickly via email.
