Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Very well situated by the beach in Ahrenshoop. Airy, large and spacious rooms, comfortable beds, verandas with a view of either beach or woods. Helpful hotel staff. Good rental bikes. Spa included in room (didn’t try it since the outside was more tempting). Underground garage (at extra cost).

Negative: Vey limited WiFi in rooms. You don’t go to Ahrenshoop to work, but it was not possible to check mail or download newspapers outside of the lobby area. Restaurant kitchen and roomservice closed at 20.30-21.00 (as did most local restaurants and the local shop), so latecomers are in for a hungry evening. The restaurant staff appeared to be summer extras under training, very nice and very polite, but everything was really slow despite few guests and simple orders were mixed up. Will probably improve, hopefully.
