The Farmhouse B&B is the perfect location to base yourself to explore the best High Country Victoria has to offer. Located conveniently within easy driving distance from Falls Creek, Bright, Beechworth and the Gourmet Regions of Miliwa and the Ovens and King Valleys. The Farmhouse B&B is situated on a fully operational beef farm in the picturesque Kiewa Valley. We can accommodate a maximum of 6 people with One Queen Bed, 2 Single Beds which can be made into a King Bed and a Fold Out Sofa. Portacot is also available. Full Linen provided Self catering facilities Optional breakfast hamper (includes fruit juice, cereal, bacon & eggs, fresh bread and condiments) $7.50 per person as required. Dederang and Surrounds Dederang is the perfect location from which to base yourself to tour North East Victoria. About Us The original Goonans came out by boat from County Clare in Ireland in 1850 to mine for gold. In 1869 the first generation of Goonans selected land in Dederang although the farm size has changed considerably due to the sale of part of the property during the Great Depression. The Farmhouse still sits on approximately 600 acres of land owned by the Goonan family, now in their fifth generation farming this land. The farm was operated by Tom and Diane Goonan until Toms passing in July 2011. Diane continues to operate the property as a commercial beef farm, assisted by her sons Marcus, Nathan, Adrian and Brendan. Beef cattle, chickens, turkeys and sheep are all raised on the property. Diane also keeps an impressive herb and vegetable garden and makes her own jams, preserves and relishes using fruit and vegetables grown on the property and that are for sale.
