Positive: The Carriage is a superb apartment, large and well equiped. The views across the valley are wonderful. Parking is on-site. It is a good base for exploring the Forest of Dean and the surrounding area.

Negative: Lydney itself is a big disappointment. It has a run down look and it has nowhere good to eat; you need to go to The Crown in nearby Aylburton for a good meal.

Summary: A lovely apartment with good facilities.
