The Alder House is a mountain escape located in the heart of the Poconos. Named from the local tree species, this unique house is nestled into a heavily wooded lot in a serene cabin neighborhood. Your stay will be within a 10 minute drive to nationally renowned hiking trails in the Delaware Water Gap, a CDC approved way to stay safe and enjoy the outdoors! Our house has also followed the CDC guidelines for safe cleaning. The house contains 2 bedrooms, a large open living room, 2 full baths, 3 full size beds, 3 sofas, and an air mattress to sleep up to 7 guests comfortably. The social spaces include a large dining room for up to 8 guests, sunroom/living room, a living room (with a TV and fireplace!), full kitchen, and outdoor deck (with grill!) The kitchen is fully stocked for various types of cooking & baking- feel free to utilize whatever you see. Make yourself at home! As architects and interior designers, Lauren and Jeff are avid antique collectors and design enthusiasts. The cabin's décor concept is rooted in Pennsylvania's dutch heritage- many of the pieces are authentic Shaker furnishing dating back through the 1800's. All items you see throughout the house are for sale as well- please send a pricing inquiry if you're interested!! Our interaction with the guests is kept to a minimum, for you and your guests to enjoy the place with privacy. You will be given an access code for an electronic lock keypad. We will be available my message or call if you need anything! FYI- We typically have complimentary community amenities for up to 6 guests at a time, such as free skiing, lake, swimming, hot tubs, gyms, tennis, and more- they are currently cancelled until further notice from our neighborhood public safety, but we can let you know if they change their restrictions.
