Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The inn is located away from the city center/pier, adding to the submersive experience yet it never felt isolated. The hiking trails were well marked and it was an easy walk to the closest beach, while the village bus made trips to the city center easy. The "top room" was fully furnished with every detail and care taken. A gift of local treats and a water bottle with a carabiner further emphasized their focus on sustainability and local crafts. This passionate focus was clearly evident in the daily breakfast and dinner service. Every dish proudly showcased local farms or fisheries. The flavors and techniques exhibited is a testament to the owner/chef's impressive resume. We witnessed the owners taking great care in packaging a dinner for a guest who needed leave early. Each course was carefully packed, the soup ladled into a thermos, the smallest details attended to. We also saw a meal basket prepared for guests with a full day tour. An extraordinary level of care, from the moment you are greeted at the pier to the moment they reluctantly send you off.

Negative: Since the village bus operates only until 6pm or so, transportation to the city center outside of bus hours is not the most convenient unless you have a rental car or bike.
