Remodeled home on the Intracoastal canal with pool and water views! The sunsets are amazing! Cook up your daily catch for friends & family in the "over the top" backyard entertainment space. Complete with a private pool - this will be the go to spot for friends and family! There is NO boat dock and we do not allow boats in the water behind the house.
The interior of this newly renovated home is ready for your arrival! The kitchen is bright, airy, and stocked with everything you need to prepare your family's meals. 4 bedrooms and a relaxation room with day-bed and workspace mean there is ample room to spread out. When you are ready to come together, there is a fun outdoor gathering place near the pool that is sure to be a memory maker for your family. Our home is situated on the quieter, southern end of Anastasia Island and private beach walk-over.
The beach is just a short 2 minute drive away.
The history of St. Augustine is incomparable with almost any other on our coast. Founded in 1565 it is chock full of amazing places to visit, from the oldest house to the first schoolroom, to the impenetrable fort built by the Spanish. Lincolnville, just south of downtown St. Augustine takes you on a walking tour of the history of the civil rights movement noting where Martin Luther King stayed on numerous occasions. Needless to say, there’s also so many unique shops, and the restaurants are so varied and truly have an international flavor! There are things to do no matter the weather! You can take a free boat ride to Fort Matanzas and learn the history about the battles fought. Further south is Marineland where you can swim with dolphins!
The St. Augustine and St Johns County area have a great variety of golf courses for players of every level and skill. There are always concerts at St. Augustine Amphitheatre and events at Francis Field as well. You will never run out of things to do here in St. Augustine. It is probably one of the most beautiful places in all of Florida, and for sure one of the most photographed! Come and see for yourself!
Pets and Service Animals: You must let us know if you are bringing an animal to the home, even if it is a service animal! It's important to let the cleaners know. Up to 2 dogs are allowed with a nonrefundable pet fee. They must be less than 50lbs each and no aggressive breeds. NO CATS! Please do not allow your dogs to jump up onto the beds or couches. If the dogs are accustomed to being allowed on the furniture at home, please bring blankets to protect the surfaces. If you forget to bring blankets, let us know and we will provide you with some. If you bring a pet and do not tell us or pay the fee, we will charge your damage deposit for the pet fee plus $100 for the unexpected extra services required to clean the house.
The pool heater thermostat is set to a temperature between 78 and 85 degrees F, depending on the time of the year. If the daytime air temp doesn't get above 58 degrees the pool will have a difficult time staying heated. Our pool technician comes on Tuesdays to check the chemicals and Fridays to clean. Our lawn/landscape professional comes on Wednesdays. These dates are subject to change based on weather or other factors, but in general that is when they are scheduled.
The cleaning company provides a limited amount of basic necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher/laundry soap, etc.) to get you started, you will want to bring some with you. Garbage and recycling must be taken out to the street Sunday night for Monday morning pickup.
Per St Johns County regulations, only ten people are allowed per rental, not counting children 12-years-old or younger. That means this property is allowed up to 10 adults and the rest of the guests must be 12 and under.
We don't offer refunds or reschedule stays during hurricane season, even if there is an evacuation order. Please purchase trip insurance for your stay if this is a concern.

Summary: My twins graduated high school at a location nearby so we needed a place for family to stay for a couple of nights to visit after graduation. Overall we had a very nice stay and visit and I would recommend. Here are some details that might help others:Pros:1. Pool is very nice and back patio area spacious.2. House has 5 bedrooms so plenty of room for a large family to stay3. Beach is about a mile walk from the house and it’s a beautiful quiet area of the beach. If you don't want to walk, you can park at a little strip mall nearby and walk across the street.4. Kitchen has pretty much everything you need to cook.Cons:1. There are many rules about the pool times and staying quiet. If you have teenagers or young adults good luck. My twins are 18 and sat outside on back patio talking around 10 and the neighbor opened the window and told them to go inside. 2. There are many rules about the pool and dirt. I felt like the entire day I was telling everyone to wash their feet off with the hose before going into the pool. It was exhausting trying to manage that. 3. There are stairs to get to kitchen and family room- if you have anyone in your party like I did that had a recent hip or knee surgeries this is not ideal for them.4. Walking on the neighborhood road to get to the beach was stressful. There are no sidewalks and the roads are narrow. We kept having to jump into yards when cars were going by. 5. 4 cars only in driveway and our party had 5 cars. We parked nearby shops
