Tucked away on a working farm at the end of a no-through road, this cosy coastal cottage is a perfect base for those with love of nature and the great outdoors. The dramatic view over the Northumberland coast is the real jewel in the crown. Sleeping four with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, this Northumbrian stone cottage has an open plan set-up comprising a sitting room, kitchen and dining space, along with a ground floor shower room. Particular features include a wood burning stove for those curl-up-with-a-blanket days, while French doors open up onto an enclosed front garden with dream views over lush farmland to the dramatic sands and tumbling waves of Cocklawburn beach. Upstairs, there are three comfortable bedrooms – one double with king size bed and two singles, along with a separate bathroom with bath. Outdoors, children will delight in the sights and sounds of the farm, while cycling afficionados will love the dedicated cycle track that runs along the coast down to Cheswick. Cocklawburn beach sits off the beaten track in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is a popular spot for walking, kite flying or dabbling in the rock pools – easily reached by car……or on foot when wanderlust takes over. GROUND FLOOR Access into inner porch with hanging rail. Open plan living space comprising: Sitting room with double sofa, two armchairs, Smart TV. Wood burning stove with initial basket of logs. Selection of books. Kitchen with electric hob, electric oven, full size dishwasher, fridge (no ice-box), microwave. There is a small chest freezer in a cupboard off the hall. Ground floor bathroom with corner shower, basin and WC. This also has a washer/dryer. FIRST FLOOR Bedroom one with 3' single bed, side table, chest of drawers. Bedroom two with 3' single bed, side table, single wardrobe. Bedroom three with 5'2" king size bed, side tables, small dressing table, hanging rail with hangers. Bathroom two with bath, basin and WC. OUTSIDE There is a gravelled area to the rear of the cottage and a lawned garden to the front which is fully enclosed. Garden furniture will be available. The garden looks over open farmland with far reaching views to Cocklawburn beach. Please note that the cottage sits on a working farm with associated farm traffic. At certain times of the year, stock calves will be sheltered in the farm barns immediately adjacent. The farm sits at the end of a no-through road but there will also be occasional passing traffic to farm cottages approximately 500 yards from Steward's Cottage. PARKING Access to the cottage is via a farm track. There is parking for two cars in the courtyard area to the rear of the cottage. BABIES & CHILDREN A travel cot and high chair are not provided. Please note the cottage sits on a working farm with associated farm traffic, therefore children should be closely supervised in this area. DOGS Sorry, dogs are not permitted at Steward's Cottage. GUEST AMENITIES Bed linen and towels are provided for guests, along with hand soaps. One hairdryer is available for guest use. WI-FI Wi-Fi is available with good speeds. Mobile coverage is good on most networks. HEATING Oil fired heating which is thermostatically controlled. Wood burning stove in the sitting room with initial supply of logs.
