Summary: A rocky start with communication and expectation management, but once we figured out what this place was and wasn't, we had a great stay. Potential guests should know the beach out front is a 6/10 at best, and services at nearby beach clubs/beaches are limited to the pass-bearing residents and hotel guests of the gated community. We felt cut-off at first, like we could t benefit from all that was on offer, however being in town was wonderful (more Mexico vs. soul-less resort), the facilities are great and the staff were super friendly. Waking up every morning to the view was a dream, as was experiencing the life of the town. You just need to use taxis/pangas/creativity to get a great beach experience.
