Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The apartment was clean, very secure and located in a quiet location. There is a locked gate with access onto a main road only a short walk from La Tejita beach, as well as a very pleasant open air shopping mall with some great restaurants, and a supermarket (if you’re not hiring a car you certainly won’t go hungry). The gardens around the property are very pretty, and all areas are kept spotlessly clean, although some dog owners on the complex don’t clean up after themselves. Veronica (who takes care of the apartment) is very friendly, accommodating and responsive to messages.
Negative: The apartment would benefit from a little updating - for example the kitchen looks a little tired, and a shower screen in the bathroom as opposed to a curtain would be better. It’s also worth mentioning that there are no loungers by the pool which was disappointing - some lightweight foldable type chairs or loungers which could be taken to the pool area would be beneficial, particularly for older guests who may not be able to sit on hard patio tiles. The wooden chairs on the apartment terrace could also benefit from some cushions as they were a little uncomfortable to sit out on for any length of time.
Summary: All in all we had a very relaxing holiday at Sotovento.
