Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Location - close to beach front, and shops a short drive away. Dog friendly - enclosed front garden, although large dogs could probably escape over the low wall between the cottage and the neighbour on one side. It was fine for our small dog. The kitchen appeared to be well equipped, (apart from only one teaspoon!), although we only made use of it for breakfast as we had made arrangements, with family in the area, to eat elsewhere. The immediate response from the owner when we had problems getting into the property, and in supplying us with bedding and towels (that we did not know would be needed) within an hour of our arrival.
Negative: We did not receive accurate information via Booking.com regarding the lock box code, or that we needed to bring our own towels. Only one bed was made up! At no point were we asked (by Booking.com) how many beds were required to be made up, and assumed that they would all be made up, as they usually are in every cottage we've ever stayed in previously. We have never had to bring our own towels either, so were surprised to find this out when we contacted the owner. My partner didn't find the twin bed comfortable, but the main bedroom was fine. We couldn't use the back entrance to come and go, as requested by the owner, because we couldn't remove the key from the lock to take with us.
