Summary: I would like to raise this issue and complaint about Skala Blue. To put what I am about to write in context, we are not generally people who complain or use platforms like Tripadvisor to offer negative views. I will also be sending these comments as part of a formal complaint to your customer service team. The issue I am about to raise had a really negative impact on our overall experience and certainly made us question where we would use James Villas services again. We will certainly not be returning to Skala Blue and would strongly advise others not to stay there. The issue was the overbearing, indiscreet and intrusive attitude of the male member of the family who look after the two villas-Skala Blue and Skala View. We have stayed in Skala Blue before four years ago and that time the family who looked after the were charming, friendly and welcoming. It was the same family again this year and the wife and daughter were again very friendly and welcoming. However, the same cannot be said for the father of the group. He spent a good proportion of the time we were there patrolling the two houses and frequently telling us off (in Greek) for things he perceived us as doing wrong-having windows open, leaving the air conditioning on. We spoke to the people staying in Skala View and he said he was doing the same thing with them. He continual presence and imperative commands meant we could not really relax and enjoy the house we had spent nearly £7000 renting. It was especially concerning given he seemed to especially target my wife and mother for his "instructions" and my mum, on this occasion on her own, felt a little uncomfortable and troubled by his attitude and comments. He seemed to always be around watching us. I know that the family have moved into a small house at the back of Skala Blue and this cannot be easy, but we felt his attitude and actions crossed a line. Finally, on the last morning we were ready to have a final swim-this meant a lot to my five year old son as he had (as we all had) enjoyed swimming and wanted a final dip before leaving. This was well before the 10AM check out time. However, the husband would not allow us to swim as he said he had put chemicals in the pool even though it was before the 10AM check out. This really upset my son and wife and we left with my son in tears. Not a great end to the holiday experience and actually a breach of contract as we had house until 10AM. He then basically opened the villas gates and we felt like we were being thrown out of the villa. It was a hurtful and depressing was to end our villa experience. I think an individual from your company needs to have a discussion about appropriate behaviour and boundaries as I feel this type of behaviour reflects badly on James Villas and had a negative impact on our holiday experience. Furthermore, I would like to hear what steps you are going to take to expedite this situation.We are frequent and loyal James Villas customers but this experience has made us question if we will use you again in the future, I look forward to hearing from you, Best wishes, Pete Edmunds However, the
