Positive: Charming hotel, everything has been renovated in an old-style design. The staff is exceptionally friendly. It feels like you’re transported back to the Middle Ages—really amazing.
Negative: For the price, you would expect a bit more comfort—that’s really the key issue overall. There is no shower, and the bath doesn’t have any shower facilities either. In other words, you have to wash yourself using a small basin, which is quite inconvenient. There’s also only a very small mirror for doing makeup or styling your hair. There is underfloor heating, but it becomes far too warm at night. We mentioned this several times, but it takes a long time for the floor to cool down after lowering the temperature. Despite the small windows, it’s almost impossible to sleep comfortably at night because of the heat. The bed is in an old style, about 1.5 meters high, with a mattress placed on wooden planks. It may feel nostalgic, but it’s not very comfortable. All these factors together mean we wouldn’t recommend it in terms of value for money. We were also a bit disappointed with the restaurant. The service is very good, but the dishes on the menu didn’t really appeal to us (perhaps a matter of personal taste). That said, I would still like to thank the staff—you were very friendly and helpful.
