Positive: The host, Paolo, was a wonderful communicator via text messaging. There are somewhat confusing prior reviews. The rooms are located on the 2nd floor above businesses. There is no reception area, and our only contact was with Paolo. The main door is shared with what appear to be apartment rentals, needing a key for entry. There is a separate door leading to the rooms available from Paolo. This door also has a separate key/lock, as does the room. He brought our luggage to the room- as the on site elevator does not appear to be working. He took the time to be available upon our arrival and quickly gave a tour and provided recommendations for where to eat and how to get to port, if we wanted to walk ourselves there the the next day. When we decided it was too hot to stroll the short distance with our luggage, he was kind enough to set up an Uber for us on short notice. He was available upon departure as well to bring out luggage to street level. He also assisted us to obtain cheaper travel to the airport upon return to the port. He is a gracious host. The location was in a good place, with restaurants and a market right across the street, and a coffee shop (with ice cream) in the same building as the rooms. A great place to spend a day or two prior to or after a cruise. Thank you Paolo!
