River Daze is a wonderful pet friendly log cabin close to Boone offering unparalleled river access, a mountain view, a hot tub, screened porch, firepit, and more! Whether spending time indoors or enjoying the great outdoors in any season, you will feel that you are truly in the mountains.
Outside, the open deck with hot tub and side yard with firepit provide lovely mountain views and lots of great options for relaxing. Take in a picturesque sunset over the hills while spending time with loved ones.
Back inside, you'll find a beautifully furnished, comfortable layout that everyone will enjoy. The living room features vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, a wood burning fireplace, and a large flat screen TV. The open plan is perfect for entertaining—allowing guests to spread out between the kitchen and dining area. The dining table has seating for 6 guests and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans, baking and serving dishes, and has new stainless appliances and granite counters.
Down the hall find the spacious master bedroom with a king bed, flat screen TV, deck access, and a large bathroom with laundry center, heated floor, a separate glass walled shower, and his-and-hers vanities.
Downstairs you'll find a den with couch & TV and foosball, as well as two additional bedrooms. One room has a queen bed and the second has two sets of log-style twin-over-twin bunk beds. These bedrooms share a full bathroom with a shower/tub combo and heated floors.
Take the short hillside trail down the hill to the river, tie your tubes up on one of the waterside trees, and float in place as long as you want. Or, leave one car a few miles downriver and float down from the house! Cast your line in from the riverbanks and try your luck with fishing in season. Hike back up the hill (just a few hundred feet!) and tell stories by the firepit after dark, then relax in the hot tub.
When it's time to head to town, you'll find yourself just 20 minutes to downtown Boone. West Jefferson, Hawksnest, Sugar and Beech Mountains for skiing, downtown Banner Elk, and Main Street Blowing Rock are all a short drive away.

Additional Notes:
-This home allows up to 4 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
-Check In is after 4pm. Check Out is by 10am.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- Please observe a quiet hour of 10PM as there are full time residents nearby.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- Parking space for up to 5 vehicles. The last half mile of road, driveway, and parking areas are gravel.
- A few kayaks and tubes are provided at the house for guests to use. Feel free to bring your own as well! Guests are required to put away owner's tubes and kayaks when done.
-Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking, or by calling us with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
