Summary: This is a lovingly restored old miner’s cabin in a great location close to Main Street and with easy access to skiing. The kitchen was as well equipped as any vacation rental we’ve ever stayed in, and I appreciate the extra touches for guest comfort (Aveda products, etc.). The floor plan—two bedrooms, kitchen, and dining room upstairs, living area and third bedroom downstairs—is quirky, but worked well for our group. The only thing that has kept me from giving it 5 stars is that the two upstairs bed are firm to the point of discomfort. I like a firm bed, but these are really next level and resulted in less than restful nights’ sleep. Absent replacing them, even adding memory foam toppers would make a huge difference in guest experience.
