The Holiday Resort Villas du Lac at Soustons Plage is in the exceptional environment of the Cote d’Argent on the French Atlantic Coast, bordered by long sandy beaches and the Landes Forest, beside the traditional village of Vieux Boucau in South West France. Soustons Plage and the Landes and Acquitaine region are ideal for families and those interested in sports and nature activities, in the free, wild and relaxing atmosphere of ocean, lakes, forests and rivers. The sports and leisure amenities of Soustons Plage stretch between the dunes and the forest around a marine lake of 60 hectares/150 acres, an ideal lagoon for water sports. The Atlantic is nearby for surfing and water sports and Hossegor, the surfing centre of France, is only 15 minutes away. It is also well located for golf, with a 9 hole course at Port d’Albret, an 18 hole course at Moliets (8 kms/5 miles away) and another 6 courses within easy travelling distance. It is 35 kms/22 miles from the French spa centre of Dax, 38 kms/24 miles from Bayonne and Biarritz and 60 kms/35 miles from the Spanish border. You can also go cycling or hiking to the smell of the pines among the forests and pathways, rivers and lakes in the mild climate. The wine regions of Gascony and Bordeaux, as well as Armangnac and the picturesque seaside towns of Capbreton and Saint Jean de Luz, are all within easy reach. The Holiday Residence Villas du Lac is situated in a unique setting on the edge of the forest, 500 metres/300 yards from the marine lake, just over 1 km/less than a mile from the Ocean and around 1.5 kms/1 mile from the centre of Vieux Boucau and its shops. The village club extends over 5 hectares/12 acres and has a large swimming pool and childrens’ pool (open mid May to end September), 3 tennis courts, mini golf, childrens’ play area, multi sports ground, a TV room, areas for volley ball and petanque/French boules, an internet room, laundry room, restaurant and bar (open mid June – mid September and children under 4 eat free when with a paying adult), entertainment room (July and August), breakfast service, meals to go, as well as parking included.
