THE BARN
The barn is a wide-open space with exposed rafters, high ceiling, wood walls, original 50-year-old concrete floors, porches on two sides, all filled with cozy, comfortable modern barn decor. A Texas backyard barn makes for a unique and memorable trip.
WHERE CAN I GO?
When you stay in the barn, you will be near Downtown Austin (11 miles), The University of Texas (13mi), St. Edwards University (10mi), the Texas State Capital (12mi), Zilker Park & Barton Springs pool (9mi), Barton Creek Greenbelt (7mi), the Circle C neighborhood(6mi), Hill Country Galleria (6mi), Lady Bird Lake (9mi), Lake Travis (18mi), Veloway (5mi), LBJ Wildflower Center (6mi), Austin Zoo (3 mi), SOCO (10mi), Grey Rock Golf Course (5.5mi), Hamilton Pool Preserve (19mi), Dripping Springs (12mi), Wineries (11mi), Deep Eddy Vodka (10mi), Camp Lucy (17mi), Circuit of the Americas (20mi), Driftwood (14mi), and much much more. We are convenient to both Austin and the Hill Country. Hwy 290 is under construction!! You may see, hear & get stuck in construction traffic!
SLEEPING: Queen bed separated from living room by glass doors with curtains - No lock! 2 twin daybeds with trundles in the living room. No curtains on living room garage door, are you ready to wake up with the sun?
BATHROOM: The bath includes a separate vanity and laundry area, with a large 60" frameless glass shower with both a rainhead and handheld shower wand. The bath may be entered from either the living room or bedroom. We provide soap, shampoo/conditioner, detergent & TP.
KITCHEN: The kitchenette has a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, double basin farmhouse sink, as well as drip coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, but NOT an oven/stove. There are dishes, utensils, platters, & cleaning supplies (use the cleaning supplies!!!). Even so, the barn is best suited for snacks and simple meals. Extensive cooking would better fit elsewhere. And, really if you're visiting Austin there is too much good food available to be eating in unless it's takeout. Ask us if you want all the food recommendations
GUESTS OF GUEST: Include ALL guests in your reservation number. NO additional guests to the barn beyond those you have booked in your reservation. Daytime, nighttime, friends, family, whatever the case may be, if they're coming to the barn, you'll need to include them in your guest count.
PETS: Pets have additional fees and additional requirements, please discuss with Owner prior to booking. (fees per pet per day, pets leashed in the yard and crated when unattended)
MISCELLANEOUS:
**NO Smoking/Vaping in the barn at all, ever. Evidence of smoking or residual smoke smell will be charged a remediation fee to remove smoke from barn. You may smoke on the driveway or the covered porch if you do not leave behind ash, butts or smell.
**Responsible internet/cable/tv use only, no illegal or illicit content.
**Notify host immediately of accidents/damage, or anything in the barn needing our attention.
We are able to have contactless checkin but reserve the right to confirm IDs prior to arrival. Arrival window 4p-9p. Departure prior to 10am.
We're just an ordinary family, with a barn, and regular day jobs. We expect to host guests who are communicative, friendly & respectful. There is no staff here to deal with drama or excessive messes.
