Apartment 2 Bedroom – Pavilion Gardens Welcome to our beautiful apartment located in the Pavilion Gardens in the heart of the Peak District, just a short walk away from Buxton town centre, the famous Opera House and the magnificent Devonshire Dome. The Space: Your accommodation Your beautifully situated accommodation sleeps four people with plenty of space and great facilities. The top floor apartment is peaceful and relaxing, with lovely views from the windows. Inside, you'll find a generously sized double room with a television, and a second double - both beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. There is a spacious living room with comfortable sofa for sinking into at the end of the day, and a bathroom with a shower, basin and bath. Many of our guests tell us that the bath is particularly appreciated at the end of a busy day exploring the area, and it's a lovely place to relax with some bubbles and a glass of something fizzy! The fitted kitchen is well stocked and comes with a breakfast bar for easy conversation and socialising. Amenities include an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle and toaster for long and lazy breakfasts. Other amenities across the accommodation include two TVs with Freeview, a DVD player and a Sony music system with an iPod dock. The apartment also benefits from full Wi-Fi coverage. Included in your stay Gas and electricity are included in the rent, so you can stay lovely and toasty if you are staying in the colder months, and all bed linen and towels are also included, to make your holiday packing easier and lighter. There is off road parking for one car. Exclusions Unfortunately, pets and smoking is not allowed in this accommodation. The Neighborhood: Perfect for walkers The Pavilion Gardens is very popular with walkers thanks to its perfect location in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Public footpaths and popular walkways begin just a stone's throw from your comfortable accommodation, while cyclists will appreciate the easy access to popular routes such as the Tissington Trail and Goyt Valley. Days out Don't forget to visit the mighty Chatsworth House and its sprawling gardens, and enjoy the market towns of Bakewell and Matlock - both within easy driving distance and packed with local charm and attractions. If you are visiting in the summer, you'll love the Wells Dressing Festival, which is celebrated across Peak District towns and villages and involves beautiful floral displays, shows and entertainment. Travel a little further to see the famous village of Eyam, and head to the local market town of Chesterfield for attractive independent shops, the historic market and the famous church with the crooked spire. Getting Around: Nearby food and drink Local shops, pubs and restaurants are just a two-minute walk up the road and you'll find some great local spots to enjoy. Don't forget to enjoy a pint of local ale if you like a pub - the locals are very friendly and you'll get some great tips on places to visit. The perfect day Why not begin the morning with a leisurely breakfast in your well-stocked breakfast bar, before enjoying a walk in the 23-acre Pavilion Gardens just outside your door? A little mid-morning refreshment is available at one of the local cafes and tea rooms (we recommend the local Bakewell Tart!) and then a visit to Buxton itself will reveal a beautiful historic market town with a great array of shops and fine restaurants for your lunch. There is also a traditional market held once a week in the square, where you'll find local food specialities, cheese and more. You'll be spoiled for choice when it comes to dinner, and there is a wonderful local produce scene to enjoy. The rail network runs across the Peak District, linking Buxton with other beautiful Peak villages and towns, and also providing easy access to Sheffield, Manchester and Leeds if you want to travel a little further afield during your stay. You will also find good roads, plenty of buses and great cycling tracks, depending on how you prefer to travel!
