Summary: Contact with the owners was first class, almost an immediate confirmation of my request to book and then follow-up emails keeping me updated on access and directions. I was given a local phone number to use when I arrived and was pleasantly surprised to find the owner waiting to welcome me on arrival and to ensure I was happy with everything in the villa. Villa is exactly as described, good sized rooms all tastefully decorated and furnished with everything you could need on a 2 week break. The bedrooms have lots of space that allow you to spread out and avoid the usual 'living out of a suitcase' scenario and the kitchen has the expected gadgets, oven, microwave, toaster and helpfully a good quality washing machine! Air-conditioning in all bedrooms was a necessity for us in the August heat with electric fans in all other rooms to help keep it cool. The pool is the crowning glory, crystal clear throughout the entire 2 weeks due to new filters and pumps and of course because the owner (who lives only a few minutes away) made sure it was cleaned impeccably. Lots of space around the pool to make use of the good quality sun-loungers and chairs, and pool towels also provided to help reduce those excess kilos on the luggage scales! We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and felt blessed to be able to think that for 2 weeks we had our own home in the sun, without doubt a massive asset is the care and thought the owners put into making sure we were able to chill back and relax. All being well I hope to return next year, it will be my 8th visit to this location and there is no question I will be hoping that Darren is able to accommodate me once again in this very villa.
