Positive: It’s a wonderful Ryokan - the food was yummy and well presented (if you’re not expecting Japanese presentation and tastes you may find it unusual, but give it a go and you won’t be disappointed). The Onsen are warm and inviting. The staff are helpful even with non-Japanese speakers There’s a lobby shop with souvenirs and gifts. The location could not be better for visiting the world heratige sites of Nikko.
Negative: The rooms are a little dated, but the futon are comfy.
