Positive: We stayed here for a few nights and absolutely loved it. The apartment is small and cosy, but it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I would say it is ideal for one person or a couple for 2–3 nights, or even longer if you do not need a full kitchen. The room has a spacious wardrobe, a lovely bathroom, and a surprisingly large balcony with a view of the surrounding hills and the sea in the distance. There is also a small fridge, kettle, and coffee machine with plenty of coffee pods provided — and the coffee was very nice too! As the bedroom is quite small, the air conditioning was absolutely brilliant. It was powerful enough to cool the room down within minutes, which was perfect after walking around Palermo in the heat. The bed was also really comfortable, so we slept very well. The location was amazing. The apartment is on a side street just off the main street in the historical centre, so everything is within easy walking distance. Palermo Cathedral is around 10 minutes away, and it is about the same distance to the seaside. There are also many lovely restaurants nearby, including some Michelin-starred, Bib Gourmand, and Michelin Guide places, so it is honestly difficult to choose where to go first! Our favourite was Timilia — not Michelin-listed, but we really enjoyed it. The Caprese salad and pizza were beautiful, the staff were friendly, and the prices were reasonable too. One of the biggest highlights for us was how quiet the apartment was. Because it is on a side street and at the very top of the building, you could not hear absolutely anything during the night. It was so peaceful. The owner was very communicative, although everything is done through self check-in. The instructions were very detailed and easy to follow, so the whole process was smooth and stress-free. Overall, this was a lovely, cosy, peaceful apartment in a brilliant location, and we would happily stay here again.
Negative: This is not a complaint at all, because we really did not mind, but just something to mention for anyone who might find it difficult: the building does have a lift, but you need to walk up to the first floor to reach it, and then climb a few more steps to get into the apartment itself. If someone cannot use the lift, or does not like lifts, it is around 101 steps to the apartment. We actually walked them most of the time and did not mind at all. We just put our two 20 kg suitcases in the lift, pressed the button for the top floor, and collected them there!
