Our fully updated (2022) cottage sits on 5 fenced acres, surrounded by sprawling pastures, old growth trees and epic views of Mt. Moriarty and Mt. Arrowsmith. Enjoy full privacy in the well-stocked cottage while enjoying the tranquility of rural life close to town. The cottage is 4 minutes away from a major grocery store and Oceanside Arena. We are very close to the famous Parksville beaches and the highway to Tofino.
We are near the intersection of the highways leading north to Campbell River, South to Nanaimo and West to Tofino. Although we are surrounded by farm land, we are only 2km from the ocean and even closer to shopping at the local mall. There are beautiful walks with amazing views right from our driveway and wildlife is plentiful. The major grocery store, Save-On-Foods is a pleasant 25min walk away, as is fresh seafood from French Creek Marina. Morningstar Golf Course is a 5 minute walk.
Oceanside arena and Wembley Mall are a 5 minute drive away.
The hosts live in a separate house on the property (25 meters from the Cottage, separated by cedar hedges) and can be seen puttering around the gardens, greenhouse, duck pond and bee yard. There is a shared driveway between the houses. We welcome the chance to chat and would be happy to introduce you to the ducks, bees and gardens. Our friendly dog, Pinot, would love to say hello if you are interested in meeting him.
