Positive: We travelled as a couple. The agent of the owner was at the apartment when we arrived at 22.15 as arranged. The apartment was in a good location for us. A short walk downhill takes you to the beach, the bars, the restaurants and all the attractions of Praia da Luz. Walking back to the apartment from the local Spar or Baptiste supermarkets wasn’t really an issue for us although coming back carrying groceries, takes a little more effort as it’s a few hundred metres away and slightly uphill. The apartment itself was in very good order. Bed was smaller than we’re used to but still comfortable. Everything you need for one or two weeks is available in the property. There were only a few towels although the washing machine is there to refresh any towels or garments every day if you like. We had no noise issues from neighbourhood or traffic. The view from the decent sized balcony was very impressive, sweeping mountain view down to the sea and beach.
Negative: The property needs a few replacement bulbs. The light fittings are there but not working for the bedroom and for the outside staircase (which has 4 flights of stairs and difficult in the dark) I’m over six foot tall and managed to accidentally bump my head a few times on the ceramic tiled canopy over the cooker.
