Summary: We enjoyed our stay here even though the lake was very low and it was over 100 every day! The sleeping arrangements for our family reunion of 16 were great and allowed us to isolate the various packs of kids at nighttime. The low lake actually gave us a small rocky beach to hang out on so that was a benefit. The walk down to the lake was fairly steep and rocky but manageable. The views from the house and the beach were beautiful. The house and guest house worked well. for our large crowd. The pool room became the kids playroom, and the backyard, hot tub and covered deck were well used. The ceiling fans and extra fans were much appreciated. We also enjoyed the outdoor griddle, charcoal grill and fire circle (only a small fire due to local fire ban). The concern with the house was that the kitchen had limited silver ware, plates, bowls and glasses and cups. There were also limited pots and pans, but too many frying pans. The kitchen refrigerator was missing many storage shelves, which caused challenges in storing food for the large crowd. The well water had an odd taste and I recommend bottled water and ice. None of this was communicated to us prior to arrival. We supplemented everything with plastic and paper products from Walmart. Not very eco-minded. We were also told by the owner to bring our own towels for the bathroom. With these minor, easily corrected issues, we enjoyed our long weekend. We may have a central location for future family gatherings.
