Summary: House is great and comfortable with lovely views of the sea and a pleasant common area well equipped for those days and nights where the weather may turn (as can happen in a tropical location) or where a night in feels right. The only downside to this house are the check-in process, hidden fees and deposit for water and electricity usage. At these prices, not sure why that would have to be extra. Also, does not seem standard practice / have never seen in houses of similar standard and price. Ended up being about $50 over 7 days but why not just add another $8 per day to day rate? Also, if you charge for water then the guest bathroom downstairs shouldn't take 5 minutes to close and stop leaking - I've had Rubik Cubes that were way easier. In addition, an itemised and photographed inventory of utensils, towels and bath soap trays feels over the top considering the standard of house. Makes one feel like a suspect before even enjoying and after full payment which was done upfront. Lastly, a cash deposit upfront also felt hidden and not disclosed until the day of. Naturally the water and electricity came out of it so felt like it was a handover from the very start. Fixing this would make the house unbeatable for Buzios because the location and house are top notch.
