Deposit Policies + Timing of Payment
Hostelworld charges a 18% deposit at the time of booking. The Caravan Hostel then charges a separate deposit to help hold and guarantee your reservation with us.
For Standard Flexible Reservations we charge the first night + tax at the time of booking. The remaining balance is then charged up to 24 hours before your date of check-in.
For Nonrefundable Reservations, we will charge the entire amount at the time of booking.
Please note: If the Caravan Hostel is unable to charge your reservation deposit onto the payment provided when booking, your reservation will be flagged. Guests will be emailed with instructions on how to update their payment within 24 hours. If 24 hours have passed and we have not received updated payment, your booking will be canceled.
The name on the card must match the name of the guest staying at the Caravan Hostel.
*Taxes not included - 15.95% local hotel tax will be applied to your balance due by law.

Check In Requirements
. Guests must be 18 years or older
. Each guest must have a valid government issued ID. ID must be clear, not expired, and not damaged. We do not accept: student ID cards, work ID cards, medical cards, or photos of IDs.
. Hostel guests must provide ID that reflects residency of 90 miles or further. Hostel is reserved for travelers who reside 90+ miles from the Caravan Hostel. US passports / passports are not accepted for Hostel guests.*
. A valid credit or debit card, issued under the guest's name, must be used to make a reservation and to be held on file for incidentals. Should any damages, stolen items, or clean up fees occur during your stay, the card provided on file will be used to collect said fees, if any.
House Rules
. Check in is at 4 PM - we cannot accommodate early check in.
. Guests may arrive earlier than 4 PM to store bags, enjoy coffee and tea, hang out and more.
. Check out by 11 AM - we cannot accommodate late check out*
. Guests can store bags after check out and use common areas until departure
. Quiet Hours are from 10 PM - 8 AM
. No outside visitors allowed in shared hostel-style dorm rooms.
. Guest kitchens are fully equipped with everything you need including food labels and storage space. Please clean up after yourself.
. All indoor facilities are 100% smoke free.
. Pets / ESA pets are not allowed. Service animals welcome!
. Freebies: shampoo, soap, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, razors, face masks, eye masks, and always free coffee & tea available in the lobby.

Cancellation Policies
For Standard Flexible Reservations you must submit cancellation or modification requests via email 72 hours (3 days) prior to your day of check in. Failure to give 72 hours or more notice will result in a cancellation fee. If proper notice is given, any balances paid will be refunded.
For Nonrefundable Reservations - we do not issue refunds for canceled or modified nonrefundable reservations.
