From here you can reach the cities of Freiburg, Basel, Lörrach or Waldshut-Tiengen in about 45 minutes by car. The highest mountain in the Black Forest, the Feldberg, is 15 minutes away by car. The Belchen and the Herzogenhorn are also wonderful excursion destinations nearby. Hikes to the Hochkopf or the Lebküchlerweg can be started directly from the front door. The Schluchsee and Titisee lakes are only a few minutes away by car. The pilgrimage church in Todtmoos and the cathedral in St.Blasien are worth a detour and both towns invite you to take a stroll or visit a restaurant.
