Casa Capri is conveniently situated within a short walk from the village centre of Pontone, in a most serene, tranquil location having spectacular view of the sea and Amalfi.
Perfect position for those interested in walking / trekking as there is access to the ancient trail connecting Scala Pontone to Amalfi.
This new 1 bedroom vacation apartment is located on top floor (friendly owner lives on 1st floor). From the gate there are 16 steps to the entrance door.
Entrance into spacious lounge / dining room with well equipped kitchen corner.
Double bedroom with doors on the terrace offering frontal views over terraced lemon groves and vineyards stretching away towards the town of Amalfi below finish at the distant blue sea. In the Double bedroom there is a loft (1.50 m. high)with 2 single beds. Bathroom with shower with wc lavabo and bidet.
The other apartments that comprise in the building is - Casa Ischia and Casa Procida.

Access to the property
From road side, about 140 shallow steps mixed amongst a panoramic pedestrian pathway through the small Piazza San Giovanni, lead up to the accommodation. 16 steps from Gate to entrance door.

Check-in time is between 3,00 and 8,00 p.m. You will be met and taken to the booked accommodation, asked for a photo copy of your Id or passport, any extras and the Breakage deposit (in cash only in any currencies) this is refunded on your departure day, less any breakages.
We strongly recommend contacting our land agents the day before or early morning of your arrival day, to let them know how you intend getting to the resort and approximate arrival time, they will in this occasion be able to advise of any local fiestas, roads closed etc...

Location
Casa Capri is situated in Pontone part of the spectacular hills of Scala.
A 5 minute walk takes one to the nearest restaurant bar and small grocery shop, whilst supermarket is 5 minutes drive, shops for every purpose, banks, etc... are a 10 minutes drive to Ravello or Scala.
Amalfi and the beaches are just a bus-ride away (15 min.).
FRAI Bus line from Pontone to Amalfi.
From Amalfi, SITA (Unico Campania) buses connect all the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento Coast towns. From the docks in Amalfi you will also be able to board ferries and hydrofoils to Positano, Capri, Salerno or Sorrento Coast and Naples, as well as go on mini-cruises for tourists.
If you are fond of archaeology, Pompeii, Herculaneum and Paestum are easily within reach, between 1 to 2 hours driving distance.
How to get there
There are several ways to get to Amalfi Coast from Naples Capodichino Airport or Naples / Salerno Train station either by renting a car or by public transport, but it can be a little complicated for first time visitors. Knowing the options and making your travel plans in advance will start your trip to Amalfi Coast off on the right foot.
The property is located 27 km. (16 miles) West of Salerno and 60 km. (37 miles) South-East of Naples.
From Naples Capodichino Airport to the apartment it's about a 90 minutes drive.
If choosing to arrive by Public transport it would depend on your arrival time at the airport/train station. Visit Amalfi Coast Transport to see which option (Bus or Ferry) will suit you best.
The easiest (and least stressful!) way to reach any destination on the Amalfi Coast from Naples airport or train station is to hire a taxi for a private transfer. While it might seem an extravagant expense, the advantages far outweigh the cost.
Since public transportation on the Amalfi Coast is easy to use and affordable and parking is expensive and very limited, renting a car is not recommended in general.

Once at the property you can get around fine without the car as parking in the towns is hard to come by and expensive. Public Buses operate year-around connecting Ravello to Amalfi, where are buses to all the Amalfi Coast villages and Sorrento area. Ferries (from May to October) operate a service between Amalfi - Positano - Sorrento - Capri Island - Naples and Salerno.
