Summary: There was a issue at check in. Hotel.com reserved it as 1room - 2 bedroom deluxe, the property reserved 1room with 2 beds. Hotel.com should have reserved it as a 2 bedroom deluxe room. The person checking me in requested to see my verification letter, luckily I had it on my phone and he verified there was a mistake. The property ended up giving me a connecting rooms, it wasn't ideal but I had to make it work. I also give the person checking me in credit for doing the best he could to accommodate me.
