Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Location, view, cooking amenities, hospitality. We picked the location because it had less light pollution (hoped to see Northern Lights), and within a half hour drive from Laugaras Lagoon, which was our route before check-in. We thought at booking that reservation included breakfast. It does not - the host emailed with breakfast options and prices, which is separate from cottage booking. We got there just around 22:00, when reception closes. Host was gracious and helpful because gmaps got confused directing us to their reception on their property. He came to fetch us and personally greeted us, which we very much appreciated. The cottage was peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed our brief one night stay. Comfortable beds - firm enough, thank you! Cooking amenities were fine for basic cooking, and the ability to cook your own meal at "home" cannot be beat - so convenient and helpful. Including having a fridge to make your provisions last. Great stay overall.
Negative: Dishware, utensils, and cookware (pans) could have been cleaner - they were not very dirty, but they looked like they haven't been washed very well or rinsed at best, plus there were crumbs in kitchen drawers, like the kitchen area of the cottage didn't get as much cleaning attention as the rest of the cottage. Not a big deal for us, but something to keep in mind for hosts for future guests. We loved our stay anyway, and we are very appreciative of accommodations provided.
