The well-maintained holiday house complex KOUNENOS is in a unique and fantastic location, exposed above the sea near Istron, approx. 11km east of Aghios Nikolaos. The houses are situated on a huge, terraced hillside property with olive trees and a fantastic view across the Mirabello Bay. The complex consists of 12 units in 2 buildings with a distance of 30m between them. One of the buildings has 5 terraced houses and the other one consist of 5 holiday apartments and 2 studios. Behind the terraced houses, one level up, there is a generously spaced pool area with a lawn, sunbeds and parasols. Here you can enjoy the beautiful view across the sea and the surrounding coastline. The 100sqm freshwater pool (18 x 4-8m, 0,60 – 2,70m depth non-heatable, in operation from 1.05.-31.10.) with a separate children´s area (0,6m depth) is shaded by olive trees and can be used by all guests. The bright and friendly furnished holiday apartment is next to the landlord´s apartment and was renovated in 2012. The neat holiday apartment has a ground level entrance but due to the hillside situation the apartment is one level up, next to the apartment KOUNENOS KREEGB01-02. The living/dining room is two steps up and is adjoining to the open kitchenette which in turn is another step up at the same level of the apartment entrance. Because of the level structure of the apartment and the completely glazed living room front you can enjoy a wonderful sea even from inside. There is also a small balcony where you can enjoy the magnificent sea view outside the apartment. A small hallway leads from the living room to both bedrooms and the shared bath. The bedroom to the seaside has direct access to a private balcony where you have a view across the whole bay. Directly below the holiday house complex KOUNENOS there are 3 wonderful sandy bays that count amongst the most beautiful beaches of the northern Lassithi coast of Crete. Approx. 600 m away are the sandy bays of Voulisma and Istron and after approx. 1,6km you get to the Mirabello Bay.
