Positive: I had always wanted to stay at a traditional onsen hotel in Japan and experience the famous 一泊二食"one night, two meals" package. Hanamomiji met all of my expectations. First, the hotel provides a direct shuttle bus from Sapporo, so we didn't have to worry about figuring out transportation to the resort. Second, I prefer traditional Japanese meals over buffets for both breakfast and dinner. The hotel offers kaiseki cuisine (a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner) instead of a buffet, which made the experience feel much more authentic. I also had the opportunity to wear a yukata and take photos, which added to the traditional Japanese atmosphere. If you're looking for a traditional Japanese onsen experience, authentic kaiseki meals, and good value for the money, I highly recommend this hotel.
