We can walk to Umekoji Park, where there is a trace of Nishihachijo which is a mansion of Hekimonome.
It is 1 station by JR until the main [Kyoto station]. The ride time is 3 minutes.
There is a convenience store open 24 hours on foot 5 minutes (400 m), so it is very convenient.
Why do not you take a break in your private garden full of Japanese trends?
The unit bath wash basin was renewed at the end of 2017!
A scarce gyoen garden, an inn with an edge. While watching the garden court slowly on the rim side, please enjoy Japanese sweets, Matcha etc.

Summary: The house is conveniently located, close to the JR station and there are a bunch of restaurants within walking distance. There is also a 100-year-old stationery store close by, which we really enjoyed. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and it was very neat to be able to show our kids a more traditional, old-style Japanese house. We were disappointed that there was no tatami, however, as it appears there has been a recent renovation, and more disappointed that the rules asked guests not to cook in the kitchen, as we typically attempt to off-set the cost of travel by cooking our own meals. Finally, my husband and I are both in our 40s, but both found the bottom mattress of the futon too thin for comfort. The price and location are great, but unless you are used to "sleeping rough", camping and sleeping on the ground, or bringing your own foamie or air mattress, this may be a consideration.
