2 Bedroom Cottage in Treasure Cay

Beach Villa 664 (we call it "Happy Days") is steps from the spectacularly beautiful Treasure Cay Beach on the island of Abaco. Enjoy your vacation in paradise in a clean and comfortable two bedroom, two bathroom villa located in a very safe and convenient beach community. Excellent free WiFi is provided in the villa along with American cable television and free local (within Bahamas) phone calls. We do not have an ocean view, but we are less than a five minute walk to Treasure Cay beach (you do not have to cross a road). You also have use of a heated community pool. The master bedroom contains a king sized bed as well as a twin sized mattress (found under King bed) and a full sized bathroom (shower and tub). The second bedroom contains two full sized beds as well as its own full bathroom (shower and tub). All towels and linens are provided. The renovated kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials (plates, pots & pans, stove, microwave, full sized refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, toaster, dishwasher, wine glasses, etc.). The living room is comfortably furnished with a sofa and flat screen television. Note: there are no tvs in the bedrooms. Eat your meals inside at the round table for four (additional seating for two at the kitchen counter), You can sit outside on the patio connected to the living room with a sliding screen glassed door. There is a second patio with sun loungers connected to the second bedroom. The beach villa is surrounded by gorgeous tropical bougainvillea flowers. There is an outdoor shower and a new gas barbecue located next to the front door. We provide plenty of beach towels and there are chairs and sun loungers for you to use on the beach provided by the Beach Villas Owners Association so you do not have to carry chairs to the beach. While renting beach villa 664 you will have access to a large heated pool which is part of the community (2 minutes away). Watch beautiful sunsets and the spectacular ocean from the observation deck located right near the pool. You can also do laundry in the large and clean community laundry room with modern washers and dryers. Note: we do not have our own washer and dryer in the beach villa. You do not need to rent a car to stay here! You are less than a five minute walk to a grocery store, liquor store, modern medical clinic, bakery, post office, bank, taxi stand, dive shop, boat/kayak/car/golf/bike rentals and excellent restaurants. Tennis courts are next door. There is also a well maintained 18 hole Dick Wilson designed golf course a short golf car ride away (less than a mile). Rent a boat to visit surrounding islands, go snorkeling, fishing or diving into the clear waters on spectacular reefs. You can visit the surrounding cays with their quaint New England style settlements and historic museums, or visit deserted cays for beach combing and swimming in crystal clear water. You can even feed the "swimming pigs" on a nearby cay. Enjoy a gourmet dinner on the water at the gorgeous Treasure Sands Club, or a buffet dinner right on the beach at Bahama Beach Cub. There are delicious seafood dinners at The Spinnaker, Touch of Class, and Coco Beach Bar and Grill. Dance to music every evening at the Tipsy Seagull Bar and Restaurant at the marina. At Coco Beach Bar, right next door, you can enjoy dining all day in addition to renting kayaks and fun water sport toys. You can walk for miles (3.5 to be exact) on Treasure Cay Beach, rated by National Geographic as one of the world's top ten beaches! Certainly, it is the best beach in the Bahamas! You will be amazed at the privacy and serenity you find here. You will likely discover conch shells and star fish on your walks. You can also do nothing. Just plunk yourself in one of the comfortable lounge chairs on the beach in the shade of the thatched umbrellas (provided for those staying in a beach villa by the Beach Villa Property Owners Association). Read a book and/or take a nap! Although Treasure Cay is only a short hour long flight from Florida (fly into Treasure Cay airport or Marsh Harbour Airport) , it is world way from the chaos of the modern world. Come here to get away and you will not be disappointed. We hope you will want to return again and again.
