Positive: TL;DR: for the money this place is fantastic. Neighborhood seems safe, grocery stores right nearby, 10min walk into the main part of town. You get the essentials, bed isn't superb but is comfortable enough (no stiff back/neck). Very clean and cheaper than most hotels nearby. For me the location was perfect, a 3min (downhill) walk to the train/bus stations, a small grocery store around the corner and a much larger one just 2 streets down, and the neighborhood seemed perfectly safe. Proximity to the train/bus station was great as I was travelling for work just outside the city, but I realized later that it's a bit on the outskirts of town, though it was only 5 min to the BEST gelateria and 10-15min to the center with bars and restaurants. The apartment is quite small but impeccably clean, and there's ample space in the wardrobe - perfect for 1 person, 2 if you're both light packers and tidy. I didn't realize it was a pull-out sofa bed until after I'd made the booking and couldn't cancel, but it was actually quite comfortable and already made up/folded away for when you arrive. I was also pleased to find that there actually WAS wifi available, not always the fastest but I was able to zoom into meetings on days I was running late. Good water pressure in the shower and it gets piping hot! (but it also starts to get cooler somewhat quickly so be efficient!) I didn't notice any noise from within and building and the soundproofing from the window is downright impressive. The noise from the street definitely carries up and can be distracting when the window is open, but with it shut it's dead silent. The AC is very effective (and necessary in the summer as you're on the top floor) I can't really speak to host communication as I had no issues come up so never had to contact them.
Negative: Overall the apartment is great as is, the only suggestions I have are more based on personal preference/things that might be a consideration if you travel like I do. Space is definitely limited in the apartment but it would lovely if there were a couple more surfaces just to set things on: - either a nighstand or those little wooden couch arm covers would be great (not essential, just a thing I thought about, ended up using one chair for sitting and one as a nightstand) - I would say most people could probably benefit from 1-2 small shelves being hung in the bathroom as there's nowhere to set or hang your toiletries or any shower products you may have, and because shower is also compact, having everything on the floor turned into chaos for me - there could also be better/brighter lighting in the apartment. If you're on holiday this might not matter but I was trying to work after it got darker out and the lighting is dim at best (cooking would also be an issue if you decide to make dinner late)
Summary: Great for the money. Very clean+compact with essentials, close to train station, short walk to town.
