Positive: We loved the quiet location and the friendliness of the owners who were always available to deal with any query. They very generously left wine and fruit for our arrival. They are relatively new owners and there is some building work taking place nearby as they are improving the area generally, but it did not impact on the stay we had. Lovely swimming pool and each of 3 rooms has an en-suite and 2 share a bathroom, plus there is a downstairs shower room for anyone with mobility issues. Beds are comfortable, good showers and everywhere was very clean . Kitchen is well equipped, the seating areas are comfortable and there is plenty of room. The owners run a bar and restaurant in the town called "Bardo-Medieval Tavern", which is also worth a visit. If you like wildlife the area is wonderful for walks and birdlife, plus 2 resident friendly goats. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the local Supermarket and other shops and we used Uber for longer trips which was very easy and reasonably priced.
Negative: Can't say there was anything in particular. We were a group of 9 and apart from the wet weather which could make it a little cool in the main dining area in the evening we were generally very happy. I suppose the availability of a heater for the dining area would be a good addition for early season.
Summary: A wonderful place to relax, walk and swim (weather permitting),watch the wildlife and enjoy Setubal.
