It's almost the exact mid point between the Waimea Canyon / Koke'e park west shore area, and the Hanalei / Haena north shore area. When staying here, you're at least half way to anywhere on the island you wish to explore.
In the winter months, your lanai is a "front Row Seat" for watching the humpback whales that make Hawaii their winter home. If you enjoy walking along the shoreline, the beach here stretches for miles. Within minutes of the resort, you can visit Lydgate Beach Park, Wailua Golf Course, Wailua river, Opaekaa Falls, Sleeping Giant hiking trail, shops, restaurants, and so much more.
