- The CONDOMINIUM where the apartment is located is called Aldeia Saint Sebastian (close to Piruí beach and the main square of the city). It has 24 hour security.
- ON THE BEACH, TURNING LEFT, is the main square of the village of Arembepe, with a variety of local shops: market, church, bakery, bars, snack bars, acarajé.
- Arembepe BEACH, just past the main square, has a large tidal pool that creates a waterfall effect near high tide as the water tumbles over the rocks in the pool - great for swimming. The local restaurants and beach bars are great!
- NEXT to the condominium, on the left, there is a great option for a relaxed restaurant with exceptional food – Pousada da Fazenda. Walk along the beach and stop for a great lunch or dinner in the rustic setting. The entrance to the beach is difficult to locate, best to enter from the side of the road the first time.
- ON THE BEACH TURNING RIGHT, you have 50 km of beaches with palm trees that extend to Salvador. Coral pools near the condominium offer the opportunity for a peaceful swim. The best beach for surfing is about a 10 minute walk along the beach on the right.
- PROJECT TAMAR, with a research and visitation center in Arembepe (open every day), is one of the most successful marine conservation initiatives in the world, successfully partnering with coastal communities to increase the number of nests of the 5 species of sea turtles in Brazil. The Projeto Tamar Arembepe visitor center, a 15-minute walk from Arembepe's main square, is open 6 days a week (closed on Mondays), with turtle feedings at 4pm daily. During the months of December to January, most days at approximately 4pm, the public can witness an unforgettable experience - baby turtles being released on the beach in front of the visitor center! Watch them stumble across the beach into the water! Along the beaches of Arembepe, you can see the white markers that indicate turtle egg laying sites along the beach, placed by Projeto Tamar. You'll still see turtles popping up every now and then throughout the year if you swim 20 meters or more off the beach.
